Early Head Start helps young children from low-income families prepare to succeed in school. Early Head Start programs promote children's development through services that support early learning, health, and family well-being. Parental engagement is strongly encouraged. Pregnant women and families with children ages 0 to 3 are eligible. Family development, child development and community-based services are the key components of the program. ICAP's EHS program serves children in both center-based (Sioux Falls and Madison) and home-based programs.
