Thrift Stores

ICAP operates four thrift stores within the service area: the Encore Family Store in Madison (Lake County), the Nearly New Shop in Howard (Miner County), the Used 2 B New in Clark (Clark County), and The Closet in Flandreau (Moody County). Staff and volunteers collect, sort, clean and sell clothing and other household goods to persons who wish to use the store's services. If an income-eligible person or family cannot afford to purchase the clothing, the Community Service Worker in that county can provide a voucher that allows them to get the clothing at no charge.
