Employment-related expenses can sometimes create barriers to obtaining or maintaining employment. When funding is available, ICAP may be able to assist eligible individuals and families with certain employment-related needs, including:
• Gas vouchers
• Bus passes or transportation assistance
• Assistance obtaining identification documents
• Other eligible employment-related supports as funding permits
Our goal is to help individuals overcome obstacles that may prevent them from securing or maintaining employment and achieving greater financial stability.
Employment-Related Services are only available when funding is available. Available assistance may vary throughout the year based on program funding and resources. We encourage individuals to contact their local ICAP office to verify current funding availability.
Applications may be completed through the ICAP KIOSK or in person at your local ICAP office by calling ahead to schedule an appointment.
To determine eligibility, applicants must provide:
• A valid photo ID (if available)
• Social Security cards for all household members
• Verification of all household income received during the previous month, including but not limited to:
o Wages or pay stubs
o Child support
o Social Security benefits
o Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
o Unemployment benefits
o Retirement or pension income
o Any other sources of household income
Additional documentation may be requested depending on the type of assistance being sought.
