Cook Brookings 60’s Plus Dining Kitchen Duties: • Prepare, cook and serve meals according to the menu and the nutritional standards of the program. Utilize approved recipes when applicable. • Ensure that all sanitation and food safety regulations are met. • Document food temperatures and monitor portion sizes to ensure safe and cost-efficient food service. • Calculate daily meal costs and submit to supervisor. • Interact with participants and assist with participant check-in in the absence of the Site Manager. • Maintain perpetual inventory book for food supplies. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • One year experience and/or training working in the area of quantity meal preparation and kitchen sanitation preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledgeable with record keeping abilities and time management skills. • Experience with elderly adults would be beneficial. Grade 3: • $10.16 - $14.87 per hour, based on education and experience Hours: • 35 hours per week, year round FLSA Status: • Nonexempt position
