Affordable Shopping. Community Support. Local Impact.
ICAP proudly operates four thrift stores throughout our service area, providing affordable clothing and household goods while supporting local families and strengthening our communities.
Our thrift store locations include Encore Family Store in Madison (Lake County), Used 2B New in Clark (Clark County), Nearly New Shop in Howard (Miner County), The Closet in Flandreau (Moody County).
Each store is made possible through the generosity of community donations and the dedication of local volunteers, NICOA participants, and staff. Donated items are sorted, priced, and displayed for purchase at affordable prices, helping families meet their basic needs while promoting the reuse of quality clothing and household goods.
For individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, ICAP may be able to provide clothing assistance. Income-eligible households can work with their local Community Service Worker to determine eligibility for a clothing voucher, allowing them to obtain needed clothing at no cost.
Volunteers Make Our Stores Possible
Our thrift stores rely heavily on volunteers and NICOA participants to remain open and serve our communities. From sorting donations and stocking shelves to assisting customers and organizing displays, volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of every store.
Whether you are looking to give back, gain experience, meet new people, or stay active in your community, volunteering at an ICAP thrift store is a rewarding way to make a difference. Every hour volunteered helps support local families and ensures affordable resources remain available for those who need them most.
Donate, Shop, or Volunteer
Every donation, purchase, and volunteer hour helps strengthen our communities. By supporting an ICAP thrift store, you are helping provide affordable necessities, reduce waste through reuse, create volunteer opportunities, and assist neighbors facing financial challenges.
