Housing Stabilization Coach (Sioux Falls)
Duties:
• Provide housing stabilization coaching including case management to individuals and families in program for the homeless, near homeless and low-income to reach self-sufficiency.
• Interview applicants with problems such as personal and family adjustments, finances, employment, food, clothing, housing, and physical and mental impairments to determine nature and degree of problem.
• Counsel participants individually, with family, or in other small groups regarding plans for meeting needs, and aid client to mobilize inner capacities and environmental resources to improve social functioning.
• Refer clients to community resources and other organizations.
• Assist participants to abide by lease agreements.
Qualifications:
• BA or BS degree in human services or social work preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two (2) years experience and/or training working with human services or social work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hours / FLSA Status / Grade 6:
• 40 hours per week (Nonexempt position).
• $14.65 - $20.72 per hour, based on education and experience.
