Emergency Food & Shelter 

    ICAP delivers Emergency Food and Shelter (EFSP) services for all counties in the service area except Minnehaha County. These funds can help people with emergency needs (rent/mortgage payment, utilities, emergency lodging, food, etc.) for one month. There is no income eligibility for the services, but proof is required that the need is immediate and that all other potential resources have been exhausted.

    The ICARE program is funded by MidAmerican Energy Company, using both corporate funds and customer donations. Funds are used to help pay heating costs for low-income persons in MidAmerican's service area and who require financial assistance.
